Willis Brumfield the father of Eddie Brumfield Sr. was a
farmer. Willis, Neathie and their children Ethel, Bessie, Bertha, Agusta, Eddie, Wilous, Milton, Thad, Herman and the twins Essie and Gussie lived in Pike County,
Mississippi. I have found the family
enumerated in the 1910, 1920, 1930 and 1940 census. Willis also was listed along with his father Tom
Brumfield on the 1881 taxes for Pike County which I have not listed.
It is on the 1920 census the Eddie Brumfield Sr. appears as a 3 year old with his family.
